Ubuntu has released version 19.04 with code name Disco Dingo. This distribution is not included in the LTS category, so it only gets support for the next 9 months. However, many features are added in this version. You can see the detailed features added in here!
Besides Ubuntu, other variants such as Xubuntu, Kubuntu and Lubuntu also released 19.04. And in this article I want to discuss about Xubuntu 19.04.
Here is a new thing added to Xubuntu 19.04!
- Some bug fixes in the previous version.
- Add a new shortcut, such as:
- F4: Shortcut to open Thunar File Manager.
- Shift + Print Screen: To take screenshots of certain areas.
- Add several applications such as GIMP, Libre Office, and AptUrl.
- Some updates of existing applications and components.
For more details, please go here.
The Xubuntu developer also recalled that they stopped 32-bit support starting from version 19.04 and going forward. So, Xubuntu 19.04 is only available for 64-bit. This is an agreement with the Xubuntu development team.
But, for those of you who still use computers with 32-bit architecture, you can still use the 18.04 LTS version with support until 2021. If you want to try Xubuntu 19.04, please go to this page. Hopefully useful and ENJOY !.
